1. Louis Philip SLINGLUFF was born 15 Mar 1831; died 24 Nov 1912, New Windsor, Carroll Co., MD; was buried Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, Uniontown, Carroll Co., MD.
2. Mary Elizabeth SLINGLUFF was born 27 Jan 1833; died 16 Jun 1920; was buried Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, Uniontown, Carroll Co., MD.
3. Jesse SLINGLUFF was born 14 Apr 1835; died 9 Dec 1836; was buried Pipe Creek Church of the Brethren, Uniontown, Carroll Co., MD.
4. Frances Hannah SLINGLUFF was born 7 Apr 1838; died 1894.

Notes:

"In 1808, Jesse wrote a letter to his brother announcing the had found a place in the country the wanted to buy. He named the place Avalon. According to the articles of agreement of October 27, 1813, which hang framed in the study, Frances Hollingsworth of Pipe Creek, builder of the house, sold the farm and improvements and about 220 acres to Jesse Slingluff."

When Jesse died, the property passed to his son, Isaac, and later to Isaac's son, Louis Philip. When Louis died, the property was sold to a family named Barrick, who held it until 1935 when it was sold to F. Donald Shriver, a Slingluff descendant. Shriver later sold the property to Robert Lee Slingluff.

Jesse married Elizabeth DEARDORFF 1799. Elizabeth was born 18 Feb 1775; died 7 Mar 1852. [Group Sheet]
