      "At a monthly meeting, held the 20th of 8th month, 1699, whereas Thomas Potts and Martha Courlin, having declared their intention of marriage with each other before two monthly meetings, inquiry being made by persons appointed and found clear from all others on account of marriage, did accomplish their marriage in the unity of Friends, as is signified by their marriage certificate."
