Mrs. Boas' Attempt at Suicide
The condition of Kate, the wife of Ira B. Boas, 621 Bingaman street, who attempted to cut her throat early yesterday morning, was much better today and no serious trouble is apprehended from the gash in her throat which was made by the kitchen butcher knife. Dr. Samuel L. Kurtz sewed up the wound. The cause of her attempted suicide, she says, was her unhappy married life. The couple were married about a year ago, but there has been much trouble in the domesstic camp and on Mondya, Mr. Boas showed smoem inclination to leave when his wife went before Aldreman Ritner and swore out a warrant against her husband for desertion. he entered bail for Court and proceeded along the highway of his inclination. Mr. Boas is a pretzel baker in the employ of B. Lichtenthaler and the couple are said to be first cousins.
