      Oliver Holton Dies in Fla.

      Oliver W. Holton, well-known former resident of Pleasant Valley, died yesterday in Del Ray, Fla. He was 67.

      Mr. Holton operated the Holton Insurance Agency at 619 Main St., Bethlehem, for about 40 years prior to his retirement in 1960. He was the founder and owner of the Cherryville Iris Gardens in Pleasant Valley and operated a poultry farm on the same property.

      Since his retirement, he has lived at Silver Lake, Susquehanna Co. where he spend much f his time developing the plantings on the grounds, with his garden a showplace for the neighborhood. He traveled a great deal and had been in Mexico and Guatelmala last year.

      Born in Catasauqua he was a son of the late George and Jessica W. Holton and the husband of Virginia Barnett Holton.

      He attended the Presbyterian Church of Endicott, N.Y.

      Mr. Holton was a past president of he Society of Insurance Agents.

      Besides his widow, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Hunsicker of Bethlehem; two sons, Henry S. Hastings of Ambler, and George Holton of Guatemala; two sisters, Mrs. Louis M. Hague of Rumson, NJ, and Mrs. Charles H. Kenworthy of New York City and six grandchildren.

      Services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at the Steyers Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Burial will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery.
