Wee also have testemony by friends present that Alce Lane, mother of said William, hath aprobacion of such their intentions.

- Purchased 500 acres from William Penn in 1681. Descended from Sir Richard Lane, one of the Lord Keepers under Charles I. Sir Richard Lane's father, also named Richard, had lived at Courteenhall and was buried in the parish churchyard there, along with his wife Elizabeth
