      Bratton - Mccune

A quiet wedding was celebrated Wednesday evening, May 4, at eight o'clock at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth R. McCune, on Normal Avenue, when her daughter, Mary K., was united in marriage with Mr. John B. Bratton, of Carlisle. No invitations had been issued and the guests present were only the nearest relatives of the bride and groom. The house was prettily decorated with apple blossoms and other early spring flowers.

Miss Mary Bratton, of Carlisle, a sister of the groom, played Mendelsohn's wedding march and the bride and groom entered the parlor unattended. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Curtis O. Bosserman, pastor of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harrisburg, an intimate friend of Mr. Bratton.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Bratton received the congratulations of their friends and then led the way to the dining room, where supper was served.

The bride's wedding gown was of white organdie over white taffeta and she carried Bride roses. Although the wedding was so quiet the bride received a large number of very handsome wedding presents. Announcement cards were sent out this (Thursday) morning.

For the present, Mr. and Mrs. Bratton will reside with the latter's mother, Mr. Bratton being engaged int he insurance business which calls him from home a great deal. They have the best wishes of their many friends that their married life may be of many years and full of sunshine and THE CHRONICLE joins in these.
