    Thomas Lippincott settled on a tract of 1034 acres in Chester Township,
    Burlington Co., NJ, which he purchased from the executors of Samuel
    Jennings in 1711 for 176 pounds. This tract extended from Pennsauken
    Creek to Swedes' Run, a portion of it lying on both sides of the
    Burlington road, and adjoin-
    ing the No-Cenemension lands. The village of Westfield was included in
    this tract. He was a useful citizen and his services were frequently
    employed in the government of Chester Township. By his will dated 1755,
    he gave all of the home plantation to his son Isaac. After the death of
    his first wife Mary HAINES, he married Mercy(ALLEN) Middleton, the widow
    of Thomas Middleton of Burlington, NJ. After Mercy's death in 1754, he
    married Rachel( )Smith, widow of _______Smith, of Mount Holly.
    Rachel died 29 Sep 1779.

    FROM FRIFT EMIGRANT SETTLERS by James Lippincott of Haddonfield, NJ:
    Nathaniel Lippincott, son of Thomas, settled in Goshen, Chester Co., PA
    about 1737 where his 2 eldest children were born. Thence he removed to a
    farm on the road leading from Haddonfield to Milford, now owned by
    Aquilla S. Hillman and brothers, in Camden co., NJ. the descendants of
    nathaniel, through his sons, Joh, Caleb, and Seth, are numerous. Those
    from John, thru his son Thomas, settled on Chester twp, Burlington Co.,
    NJ in Philadelphia, and in the State of IL. General Charles Ellet
    Lippincott now auditor of the latter Sate, being the most distinguished.
    Caleb and Seth have representatives living in the vicinity of Moorestown
    and Haddonfield.

    yeoman; will of. Wife, Elizabeth, 1/7 of residue. Son, Josiah, home
    plantation, (the same having been entailed by my grandfather, Thomas
    Lippincott, to my father Isaac Lippincott, to me). Son, Stacy, money with
    which to complete a barn on tract in Chester Twp., bequeathed him by his
    grandfather, Isaac Lippincott. Son, John, a young mare; also, 40 acres
    purchased of William Hunter to be sold, when John is 21. Remainder of
    lands and personal estate to be sold. Division of residue to be made
    between, wife, Elizabeth, son, John, and daughters, Priscillai,
    Elizabeth, Rachel, Rebecca and Mary Lippincott. (Daughters, their share
