Set up as a preparative meeting in 1781 by Uwchlan Monthly, after having been an indulged meeting since 1739. In 1773, the meeting purchased a plot of 5 acres James and Anna Pugh and a meetinghouse was erected, with a half acre plotted for the burial ground. After the Separation, both sides continued to use the meetinghouse, but neither remained very strong and both were subsequently laid down within a few years. In 1882, 4 acres were sold to John Rettew and some time later the original meetinghouse was torn down, its stones being used to build a wall around the burial ground.
