The Wedding of Gregg D. Reynolds of Elizabeth B. Bratton

Reynolds - Bratton
A very pretty fall wedding took place on Saturday afternoon at the farm of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. McClelland, West Chester and Unionville road, when their nieve, Miss Elizabeth Boyd Bratton, daughter of Mrs. John Brisbane Bratton, of Ardmore, became the bride of Gregg David Reynolds, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Gregg Reynolds, of this place. The wedding took place out of doors, with a garden of fall flowers as a background.
The ceremony was performed by Dr. Glenn M. Shafer, paster of the Second Presbyterian Church of Carlisle, the former church of the bride. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, John B. Bratton, Jr.
Miss Georgia C. Greer, of Haverford, acted as maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Mrs. John R. Bingaman, of Reading, and Miss Helen Swartz, of Carlisle.
Elwood W. Reynolds was his brother's best man, and the ushers were David M. McFarland, of Tamaqua, McClure* Bratton, of Winchester, Virginia. Little Miss Betty Bingaman and Master Ralston Bingaman bore garlands of flowers from the house, forming an aisle for the wedding party.
At the reception following the ceremony, Mrs. Bratton, Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. and Mrs. McClelland received with the wedding party.
Mrs. Reynolds is a graduate of Dickinson College, and has taught for several years in the Lower Merion Junior High School, in the Latin Department.
Mr. Reynolds was graduated from Swarthmore College and is a member of the firm of the Bingaman Motor Transportation Company.
After an extended motor trip, Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds will be at home at 118 South Seventh Avenue, West Chester.
The bride was charming in her mother's wedding gown of white silk, with the conventional veil and orange blossoms. She carried orchids and lilies of the valley.
The maid of honor wore a powder blue frock and carried crimson dahlias.
Mrs. Bingaman was in lavender and Miss Swartz in pink, their bouquets of asters harmonizing with their gowns.
The wedding music was furnished with pleasing effect by Mr. Hammond, of Ardmore, a former pupil of the bride.
