  [S167] Obituaries. Alberta E. Hiester Alberta E. Hiester, 87, formerly of West Wyomissing, Muhlenberg Township and Wyomissing, died Feb. 19 at 7:34 a.m. in Berks Heim, where she had been a resident for one year. Her husband, Paul Hiester, died Dec. 21, 1996. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Eva M. (Karpowich) Chaykowski. Hiester had been last employed by The Riveredge, Greenfields, retiring in 1999. She previously worked at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel, Berkshire Country Club and Maier's Bakery. She was a 1936 graduate of Reading High School. Hiester is survived by two daughters, Dolores E. (Pawling) Gangemi, West Reading, and Janet L. (Pawling) McLaughlin, Sinking Spring; and two sons, David L. Pawling, Reading, and Craig E. Pawling, Wyomissing. There are also three grandchildren. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Edward J.
